Abstract

The article discusses the role of the discipline “Foreign Language” in the formation of social responsibility and ecological worldview among future economists. Development of а student’s personality occurs in the period of revision of requirements, which modern society establishes for university graduates. The content of educational programs transforms into a complex sys-tem of universal human values and skills required by the world community and determined by its demands. Relying on the re-sults of a sociological survey among students the author concludes on the importance of studying socio-cultural aspects within this academic discipline.
