Abstract

Objectives This study was conducted by selecting an implementation study to describe the observations and reflections on the process of developing and implementing heterosexual intercourse programs for primary and senior grades while exploring what students participating in the program experience and how they change. Methods A total of 32 students were selected by recruiting 16 students from one class of the primary 6th grade in Y County, Chungnam, and a total of 5 sessions were conducted for 16 primary students from March to April for a total of 5 sessions of 40 minutes per week, and then the results were analyzed and revised and the program was revised, and the 2nd 16 students were conducted a total of 5 sessions of 40 minutes once a week from May to June. Over the course of the program, the students' characteristic actions and impressive words were recorded and analyzed in full detail. The researchers themselves used the program as a tool to keep a reflective journal of the researcher after the execution of the program at each session. All the materials were reflected in the next session program action research as a reflection on a per-session basis. Results The effectiveness of the program was confirmed through the response of the participants, the changes before and after the implementation of the program, and the observation of the study observers. Among the various situations of heterosexual relationship, there was a pre-, middle, and post-mortem change in the participant's response to how to know the heart likes the opposite sex, how to confess to the opposite sex that is liked, how to respond to possible physical contact between a relationship, a reaction to an unforeseen physical contact between a relationship, and a reaction when a friend in a relationship is trying to kiss me on the lips saying that I love and I don't want to. Conclusions Through the heterosexual relationship program, the researchers were able to learn about heterosexual relationship in the upper elementary grades and found that the program could help in the healthy heterosexual relationship of elementary school students. The heterosexual relationship program developed in this study can be used in the development and application of programs for healthy heterosexual relationship in the upper elementary grades as participants can learn from sharing with each other the knowledge and attitudes of heterosexual relationship in the upper elementary grades.
