Комерційна освіта в Україні виникла у XIX ст. завдяки ініціативі громадськості, підприємців і передових вчених як освіта молоді для служби в приватних та державних торгово-промислових закладах. У роботі проаналізована діяльність комерційних освітніх закладів України кінця XIX – початку XX століття.

Summary
Artisan Workshop in Medieval European City XII–XV c.: Industrial and Social Stratification and Relations Between Stratas (Based on the Materials of Workshop Charters). The article reveals the essence and peculiarities of industrial and social stratification within the workshop in a medieval European city, and defines the legal status of masters, apprentices and pupils in the legal space of the medieval workshop and medieval city. Each strata had a certain status, in which the rights and obligations in the sphere of industrial, economic, social, moral and ethical existence of the workshop as well as its household were syncretically combined. Relations between stratas within the workshop in the XII–XIII centuries were formed under the distinct influence of common and corporate mentality as well as patriarchal relations The master and his pupils’ relations were based on the contract which was concluded between the master and the pupil’s parents.
