Abstract

The very context of ongoing modernization of the current educational system emphasizes the need to solve the problem of recruiting and retaining talented younger specialists. Consequently, primary attention should be focused on studying the working life quality of younger higher school teachers, as it is one of the powerful tools to improve work satisfaction of this category of higher educational institutions staff . The paper provides the defi nition for working life quality of younger teachers at higher educational institutions, outlines key indicators needed to evaluate the degree of their working life quality. The author presents outcomes of his own empiric research of working life quality among younger teachers of higher educational institutions. Analysis of the data obtained is also presented, including an attempt to assess working life quality and career development of younger lecturers, teaching at higher educational institutions. The main trouble areas are also highlighted. Based on his research, the author makes conclusions concerning ways of further improving the working life quality of younger higher school teachers.
