Abstract

In the production facilities of flour milling plants, automation has been advanced and laborsaving has been performed. However, quality control of products still relies on the hands and automation in this field is not yet advanced. On the other hand, the quality required has been more rigid due to the ex-panding variation of food culture. This time, we are grappling with the development of Multi Channel Fourier Transform Near In-frared Spectroscopy suitable for diffuse reflectance spectrophotometry of powder subject. The equip-ment should be high optical throughput, small in size, light in weight, and with solid structure. The analysis should be also made by continuous wavelength. For the analysis of powder subjects such as flour, sample preparation is an important factor. So, this time, we have developed an automatic sampling and sample preparation system consisted of a sample preparator and an NIRS with comparable accuracy to laboratory systems.
