Abstract
The article is devoted to the coverage of the life and creative path of the outstanding bandurist, People’s Artist of Ukraine, Professor Lyudmyla Posikira in the context of solving the urgent issues of preservation and further development of the performance on folk musical instruments as an integral part of the national culture of the Ukrainian people in the modern conditions. The concert and performance activity of the artist and one’s defyning features are revealed. The performer’s repertoire of the artist is examined and it’s dominant genres are determined, namely, epic and lyric and dramatic works: Ukrainian folk historical dumas “About the Cossack Bandura”, “Storm on the Black Sea”; the author’s works “Crying Yaroslavna” (on the composition of T. Shevchenko, music by F. Kucherenko), “The Duma about the Cossack Graves” (A. Kos-Anatolsky); solospivs “When you hear at night” (D. Sichinskiy to the words of I. Franko), “Do not forget the young days” (music by M. Lysenko) and others. The most significant concerts from the creative bandurist’s performances are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the fruitful work in the pedagogical field, the best bandurist students who are active participants in the artistic life of Ukraine, and also represent our country far beyond its borders are mentioned in the article. The public and educational work of the bandurist, its achievements in teaching and methodical work are concidered, namely: the creation of a concert and pedagogical repertoire for bandura players, which is represented by the teaching aids – “Pedagogical repertoire of the bandura-singer: a manual” and “The bird was singing: a collection of vocal works accompanied by bandura for students of elementary arts schools”. As a result, the most comprehensive artistic image of the outstanding bandurist L. Posikira is presented, which at the highest level represents the modern bandura art.
