Abstract
The studies described in the article were conducted from 2018 to 2022 on the territory of 7 subjects of the North Caucasus Federal District of the Russian Federation. When collecting epidemiological data on human cystic echinococcosis, statistical data from the reference center for monitoring larval helminthiasis, operating on the basis of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Rostov Research Institute of Microbiology and Parasitology" of Rospotrebnadzor, the departments of Rospotrebnadzor by subjects, the Federal State Budgetary Institution in the subjects of the Russian Federation and the results of their own research, were used. Thus, 234 cases of human echinococcosis of various localization were registered in the region. In all cases, the diagnosis was confirmed by laboratory method. No deaths have been reported.
