Abstract

In the modern conditions of the rapid development of the information society and the media, journalistic education should contribute to the professional development of the student and the formation of a highly qualified, competitive multimedia specialist with clear knowledge, skills and abilities. In the subject descriptions of specialized courses, educational program �Sports journalism� the purpose of the taught subject, the tasks set, methods of organizing the learning process and expected final results are presented. Based on the needs of the labor market in the framework of the formation of theoretical and especially practical competencies in the educational program of the department �Sports Journalism� The State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports of Armenia (GIFCSA) reviewed the content of the subjects studied, the number of hours allotted, and the names of the subjects. This made it possible to introduce academic mobility into the educational program, to increase the proportion of practical competencies being formed. The behavioral changes allow us to note that in the descriptions of special subjects included in the educational program "Sports Journalism" of GIFKS, a new purpose of the taught subject is highlighted, new tasks are introduced and new expected final results are formed. The content of the subjects was revised within the framework of the formation of theoretical and especially practical competencies, which will allow to bring the ratios in accordance with the proposals of employers. It is important to emphasize that the implemented changes are aimed at forming a wider range of practical competencies, which has increased their share in the educational program. Having sufficient research experience and the results of the development of an improved model of the educational program, the issue of more complete accounting and transfer of the requirements imposed on graduates by representatives of the labor market and employers in the field of education will be resolved in the future.
