Abstract
The studied area is tectonically confined to the Syugger saddle. The named saddle, which includes an extensive area of articulation of the southern part of the Anabar anteclise, the northeastern part of the Tunguska syneclise, the western side of the Vilyui syneclise and the northern slope of the Nepsko-Botuobinsk anteclise, is one of the largest and least studied tectonic elements of northwestern Yakutia. The prospects for the oil and gas potential (NGN) of this territory still do not seem quite obvious. Previously performed estimates of projected hydrocarbon resources suggested that this section of the Siberian Platform has quite significant oil and gas potential. In order to clarify these forecasts, in 1983-1987, a program of comprehensive study of the sedimentary cover by seismic exploration and deep drilling was carried out within the Sugjera saddle. Despite these works, the geological study of the Sugdzherskaya saddle remains very low: to date, about 20 parametric and exploratory wells have been drilled within this vast region, and seismic studies have been concentrated on selected local sites. In the proposed work, a retrospective analysis of the geological results obtained (by scientific and industrial organizations) of previously performed works is carried out with the further purpose of identifying and delineating potentially possible oil and gas accumulation zones (ZNGS) in the sedimentary cover of the Sugdzherskaya saddle, which has a certain scientific and practical significance, since it allows to make an additional contribution to theoretical ideas about the prospects of oil and gas potential of northwestern Yakutia, This is a very important factor for the further development of the fuel and energy complex of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and ensuring its demand for hydrocarbons.
