Abstract

With pulverized coal combustion, CO2 emission reduction is achieved in widely used technologies of replacing part of the coal with less carbon-intensive fuels: natural gas and off-design coal. In the last decade, the combustion of coal mixed with biomass has grown significantly, the emissions of carbon dioxide during the combustion of which are not taken into account. A new technology is being developed for co-firing coal and ammonia, which does not contain carbon.
