Abstract

This study aims at assessing the role of scouting in developing social responsibility among its members, specifically. it aims to assess differences in social responsibility between members and non-members, and relationship between age and degree of social responsibility. The sample consisted of 125 persons; all are males. The most important results were: there is a high degree of social responsibility among members of the study sample. Yet, there are no differences in degree of social responsibility between members and non-members of scouting. Also, there are no correlation between age and social responsibility, nor between time of enrollment in scouting and social responsibility.
