Abstract
The article analyzes the nationalist opposition in Europe, the problem of the growth of nationalist sentiments in the countries of long democratic tradition, the events on the Maidan and neo-fascist organizations which played a vanguard role in the nationalist revolution in Ukraine, as well as development vectors of a similar situation in Russia and practical recommendations on leveling the threats. The author makes the analysis of the situation of European nationalist movements and parties («Movement for a Better Hungary», «Serbian Progress Party», «Norwegian Progressive Party»), identifies common trends in the nowadays process of the growing political influence of nationalists in Europe. The article shows the political request of Russian society, expressed through the events on the Manege Square, Russian Marches, support by local electorate of nationalist slogans of some politicians, etc., existence of an institutionalized nationalist movement, the lack of which gives rise to the risks of the development of radical nationalist or neo-Nazi organizations. Based on an analysis of the political practices in Ukraine (the Maidan events, the activities of «Right Sector» organization), the author highlights the threats carried by the nationalist opposition that is not formed within the boundaries of moderate nationalism. In this regard, the article shows the possible risks from the nationalist movements in Russia, and presents a technology that allows to build up the communication between nationalists and the government through direct political dialogue.
