Abstract
The article reveals the actualisation of social and pedagogical support of childhood and motherhood in Ukraine in conditions of aggravation of social and economic crisis and strengthening of negative demographic processes. Research methods used: analysis of psychological and pedagogical, legal, methodological literature, normative legal acts, information sources on the research problem, generalization method. The essential characteristic of the concept of «socio-pedagogical support» is revealed, its components are characterised. The evolution and causes of formation of system of social and pedagogical support of motherhood and childhood in Ukraine are analyzed. The origins of its formation date back to the first years of the establishment of Soviet power when the formation of a legal and regulatory framework for the support of childhood and maternity took place, and the activities of state and public organizations in the field of support, protection, protection, care and support of children, various types of care for children and mothers were introduced. An overview of international and domestic legislation on research issues was conducted. Levels and directions of social and pedagogical support of motherhood and childhood are considered. The first level of social-pedagogical support is primarily related to the protection of the family, as well as the protection of the child in the field of education. The second level involves the loss of parents, social orphanhood and child neglect, pedagogical neglect, social, environmental and man-made catastrophes. The complex of measures for updating and realization of tasks of social and pedagogical support of motherhood and childhood in Ukraine is given: provision of targeted social assistance to families with children; combining the efforts of various institutions and subjects of executive power, activating the activity of local communities, public organizations and private structures in promoting the family values; realization of preparation of young people for marital life; formation of a conscious and responsible attitude towards parenthood and motherhood; creation of conditions for the formation of a family, oriented to a large number, able to independently solve their problems and satisfy the living needs, etc.
