Abstract
The synthesis technology of phenol-formaldehyde resin of the SFZh-3011 brand, modified with the fusel fraction (a mixture of alcohols) introduced in an amount from 1 to 7% of the total reaction mass is considered. The strength of the adhesive joint and the adhesive ability of modified resins have been evaluated, and the effect of the modified binder on the physical-mechanical properties of particle boards has been studied.
