Abstract
Introduction. In the article, the authors consider a number of topical comparative problems of consumer protection in the states of the post-Soviet space. The relevance of this topic is due to the need to expand the methodological framework of scientific research on consumer protection issues, identify fundamental differences in legislation in order to eliminate obstacles to the creation of integration legislation of member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Eurasian Economic Union, the Union State, and improve the conceptual apparatus in this area. Purpose. The authors' purpose includes the identification of common and special features of the legislation of the member states of regional economic organizations, other countries of the post-Soviet space and determination of directions for its convergence within the framework of existing organizations of regional economic integration. Methodology. The methodological basis of the study is the general scientific methods of dialectics, formal logic and system analysis (in particular, general logical methods of analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction and analogy, methods of observation, description and comparison), as well as modern private scientific methods of legal science (comparative legal, historical-legal and formal-legal). Results. The similarity of the legislation on consumer protection in the states of the post-Soviet space in terms of determining their foundations is stated. Its distinctive features are revealed in individual countries, in particular, in the field of special legal consolidation of contracts concluded with the help of technical means or at a distance, consolidation of unfair terms of consumer contracts. Conclusion. The authors propose directions for the unification and harmonization of the legislation of international regional organizations, such as the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Eurasian Economic Union, the Union State.
