Abstract

Background Phase separation in the system of collection and transport of oil is important, as it is determined by pre-stability of oil emulsion and energy expended for its destruction. To reduce the stability of the emulsion it is necessary to enter a demulsifier. Aims and Objectives The analysis of changes in the concentration of demulsifier supplied to the acquisition system depending on the flow properties of liquids. Methods Determination of changes in the concentration of demulsifier supplied in gathering system. Results On the basis of empirical evidence it is shown that the decrease in the concentration of demulsifier increases proportionally to the amount of dispersed phase (water) and to the viscosity of the dispersion medium (oil).
