Abstract
The article outlines the reasons for the presence of incomplete and outdated information about real estate objects in the Unified State Register of Real Estate and gives the main types of such information. Then the negative consequences of this problem are described, both for regional and municipal budgets in the form of lost tax revenues, and for owners of real estate objects in case of overestimation of the calculated tax. The article outlines the technology for updating information about real estate objects that was developed and applied by the Moscow Government together with federal authorities. The results of the measures taken are presented: improvement of data in the Unified State Register of Real Estate and additional tax revenues to the regional budget.
