Abstract

The article analyses the descriptive-expressive possibilities of individual author’s words in the poetic texts of the authors of different time periods and literary movements: I. Severyanin, J. Brodsky and V. Polozkova. New lexical units noted in these authors’ poetic texts indicate a variety of creative attitudes to form author’s words. Lexical innovations, distinguished by an unusual structure, semantic diversity, are a vivid means of expressing a poet’s figurative representation of the world around him, and contribute to unusual poetic images creation. Each of the examples of word creation is an important element of a poetic text; it carries a significant ideological and semantic meaning, allows the author to achieve impressive figurativeness.
