Abstract

Background It is established that the dangerous impact of the pressure drop across the filter elements purification of natural gas is one of the most frequently observed process. Aims and Objectives To develop dependences, which describe the requirements for the system of protection, under which the adverse effects of pressure drop over the maximum across the filter element, caused by the filter element solids overflow is prevented. Results We propose a goal function which establishes the requirements for the protection system to prevent the harmful effects of pressure drop across the filter elements of natural gas mesh type purifier and allows to determine the maximally allowable pressure drop for a regular remove of solid particles from the filter surface. The task and the algorithm of calculations were formulated in order to evaluate the maximum admissible pressure drop in the process of clogging of the filter element by solid particles.
