Abstract

Background Existing design of devices for natural gas rough purification are characterized by low level of efficiency and safety, by high workload for removing of removable cap and solid particles from working areas of air filters, by relatively low throughput capacity, moreover, it does not exclude the penetration of large solid particles into control, safety and measuring gas equipment and do not prevent dangerous influence of pressure drop on air filter units. Aims and Objectives Justification, analysis, development of mathematical models and technical solutions for increasing level of efficiency and safety of net-shaped installations for natural gas rough purification from solid particles. Results The mathematical models were offered and according to them a net-shaped device for natural gas rough purification from solid particles was chosen and improved. There were revealed whence does solid particle originate and their composition, according to which there was offered the placing of natural gas purification devices before each group of gas equipment in multistage gas distribution system. According to the methodical instructions there was offered the change of filtering surface by forming main and additional longitudinal corrugations of braided metal gauze with maximal cell size 0,08 mm. With this aim, there was determined the value of pressure drop at filtering unit, enough for remove of solid particles by serving staff away of installation of purification up to the maximum allowable pressure drop, and on this bases there were developed technical decisions, providing constant control of allowable and maximum allowable pressure drop values at the filtering unit, transmitting the information to the control desk.
