Abstract

The article is aimed at research and actualization of co-opetition as a combination of cooperation and competition. The aggravation of competition in modern conditions of market relations encourages companies to look for new opportunities to maintain their positions in the market. There is a transition from traditional methods of competition, when the benchmarks were price, quality, to more innovative. And this is a struggle for intellectual leadership, the efficiency of the production process, the company's ability to grow and make a profit, to predict the future. In such circumstances, modern competitive relations require rethinking, developing a new strategy that would combine competition and cooperation. Combining these conflicting concepts, companies recognize that they can achieve mutual benefits by working on certain aspects of their business and still remain competitors. This is the paradox of co-opetition, which requires careful research. To scientifically substantiate the results of the study of the development of competitive relations, namely, the system of general scientific and special research methods was used. In particular: methods of classification and typology - to determine the forms of competitive cooperation; method of generalization - to identify categories of competition, cooperation; method of abstraction, abstract-logical methods - to establish the components (elements and levers) of the development of cooperativeness. The definition of co-opetition, theoretical principles; characteristics of co-opetition as a phenomenon of the newest variation of competitive relations in the market are provided, the main motives and forms of competitive cooperation are investigated. Examples demonstrating the effectiveness and efficiency of the application of the concept between companies are given. The probability of the emergence of certain barriers between companies, the benefits of cooperation. The conclusion is substantiated that the concept of co-operation contributes to the creation of new production technologies, the emergence of new products, the benefits of cooperation contribute to the solution of economic and social problems.
