Abstract

Interlibrary loan operations of the Japan Medical Library Association (JMLA) were inquired in April 1980 and the report of the results was presented to the Annual Meeting of the Association on October 1980. The author, an ex-chairman of the Inquirery Committee, summarizes the report, and also points out the urgent problems which the JMLA faces, such as a plan of a national biomedical information center, formation of networks between other library associations, and a rapid progress of information dissemination technology.
