Abstract

This paper continues a number of publications dealing with diachronic studies of frequency behavior of political terms. In the preceding papers we have demonstrated how changing of frequency of certain lexical units reflects actual historical and cultural processes and described some models of behavior of political terms. This publication has a methodological point. We consider which way the form of personal name and title of a person influence the frequency behavior of the unit and how this influence should be considered in diachronic studies. instrument creates charts of changing frequency of lexical units - words and collocation - within given period. In addition we used the corpus management system Sketch Engine to create corpora of texts from newspapers “Pravda” and “Izvestiya” covered period from 1930 to 1939. Various statistical characteristics were obtained from these data. We found that within a given chronological period connotations of the items have changed.
