Abstract

The article presents a complex study of prognotic self-esteem of the results of pesonality activities in a difficult situation. Due to an increasing number of stress inducing situations the need for new resources helping to enhance stress resistance has become acute. The article attempts at analysing the structure of prognostic self-esteem of the results of pesonality activities in a difficult situation (the case of stress at an exam), its definition has been introduced into the scholarly discourse. The study has revealed that the components of prognostic self-esteem of the results of pesonality activities in a difficult situation are motivational (a desired result), cognitive (an expected result), and affective and cognitive (subjective evaluation of activity results) componets. The study contributes to the comprehension of the issue of the search for resources of personality stress resistance.
