Abstract

This article is devoted to the question of achievement motivation, as initial component of successful activity of students of higher educational institutions. Effort to learn can become a desire to succeed. Article concept - the educational process is a platform for motivation for self-improvement, professional growth of the individual and success in the future. Purpose: to find out the peculiarities of the influence of the motivation of appeals to achieve young people success. The research uses methods of observation and conversations, "Methods of studying the motives of students educational activity" (modified by A. A. Rean, V. A. Yakunin) and the questionnaire "Motivation for success and fear of failure" (A. Rean). Results. This research indicates, that students, which are concentrated on success in education are more active and enterprising and, as a rule, optimistically hoped to success. They are responsible in work and if encounter with barriers they are ready to search for ways to overcome obstacles. Their focus helps to increase the productivity of their actions, and their perseverance contributes to the achievement of the goal. It is the motivation to achieve success that determines their attitude towards learning - as an important factor and opportunity to become a highly qualified worker and specialist in their field of activity. Only for some students studying is an opportunity to receive a compensation in the form of a scholarship, and in the future - a diploma. Changing a student's attitude towards his own “I” to a positive one, can in the process of his learning help to avoid failures and accompany the achievement of success. For this, he needs to adequately assess real progress. Emotional experience of failures, avoidance of mistakes, fear of failure has a real display on his condition and reaction to all events to which he is involved, and affects the manner of his behavior in society. Conclusions. The motivation for seeking education helps to achieve success in the future of young people. In particular, the majority is focused on obtaining a future profession and obtaining professional knowledge. Predominantly unsuccessful personality is infantile, which becomes a brake on the road to success.
