Abstract

The study highlights various approaches to the concept of "cultural heritage" based on the works of domestic and foreign cultural scientists and thinkers, as well as an attempt to formulate an essential definition of one of its sections - musical heritage, which is missing in the scientific literature. The work also contains a detailed description of the main structural components of the musical heritage, including both material (musical instruments, musical notation materials and other information fixation materials) so is the intangible heritage (directly musical works and their detailed classification), which allows us to fully assess the scope and significance of this phenomenon.
