Abstract

The problems of strategic planning in a municipal entity are considered in this paper. In particular, the following conclusions have been drawn: 1. there currently is a demand for changing the approaches to managing municipal property, land relations, and the income of the municipal sector and government-financed organizations; 2. one should provide strategic subunits in the management structure of municipal entities and increase the role of information and communication subunits by including them in the implementation of strategic tasks. Summarizing the article, the author has proposed a comprehensive approach to studying the elaborating the fundamentals and practical recommendations for improving strategic planning for the development of the territory (municipal entity). The relevance of the data in author’s propositions can be confirmed by the following results of this study: 1. the algorithm for the elaboration of objects and goals of socio-economic development of the municipal entity of the town ofBuzulukhas been determined; 2. the organizational and technical scheme for the long-term concept of strategic comprehensive socio-economic development of the town ofBuzulukhas been proposed; 3. the strategy for assessing the efficiency of strategic planning of the socio-economic development of the municipal entity has been proposed.
