Abstract

The article studies the problems of searching and constructing the national idea of modern Russia from the standpoint of the social and philosophical analysis. The objective of the paper is to explore the essence and dynamics of the development of the “national idea” concept as a socio-cultural phenomenon, as well as to identify prospects for using its methodological and content-conceptual potential in social practice. Its features and consolidating role in modern Russia are revealed. The prerequisites and prospects for the construction of national idea at the present stage of the Russian society development and the possibility of its implementation in the form of integrative ideology are determined. The evolution of the conceptions about national idea is traced. The author substantiates the thesis that it plays an extremely important role in the life of the state and society, being an integral factor in the formation of worldview, mental, socio-cultural attitudes and behavior patterns. Particular attention is paid to the process of the formulation and terminological comprehension of Russian national idea, which is complicated not only by the vivid social stratification of the modern society, but also by the “idea vacuum” that has been lasting for almost 20 years, by the active participation of our country in the processes of economic and cultural-moral globalization.
