Abstract

The present study aimed to develop educational leadership in the professional standards of school management and leadership in the Sultanate of Oman in the light of the models of some Arab countries, The study used the descriptive method, and the analysis of documents was used in collecting data and information. The results of the study concluded that there is an interest in educational leadership in the professional standards of school management and leadership in many Arab countries in many areas, such as: curricula and what it contains of teaching and assessment methods and methods, teaching and learning processes inside and outside the classroom, professional development for teachers, Building a vision and mission and setting strategic goals that support effective teaching and learning processes, providing an attractive learning environment for students, and involving parents and the local community in planning, implementing and evaluating students’ Teaching and learning programmes. The results also showed that the school Management standards in the Sultanate of Oman were only concerned with a few indicators in the areas of educational leadership, such as the school principal's adoption of various supervisory methods, and professional development programs are implemented according to the actual needs of employees.
