Abstract

The current problem of finding ways to master folk singing culture in the modern educational environment is being actively developed by T. V. Shastina. Acute issues related to ethnic vocal pedagogy, with the traditions and prospects of the Russian vocal school, with the differences in folk singing performance in the folklore environment and in the system of modern ethnic vocal education, are raised by her on the pages of the journal «Bulletin of the St. Petersburg State Pedagogical University». Many years of pedagogical and research activities, work in folklore and ethnographic expeditions allowed Tatiana Vladimirovna to identify the vectors of the development of ethical education and its effective methods are revealed, and also to develop a unique pedagogical technology for teaching folk singing, which is based on the method of speech articulation and resonating of the singing sound. The pedagogical beliefs of the teacher-researcher consist in the need to train ethno-local teachers who can independently solve professional tasks of various levels of complexity in modern conditions, to develop new directions of ethno-local pedagogical science and practice, for the development of ethno-singing culture of modern Russian society.
