Abstract

The research objective includes identifying principles to compile an electronic educational resource satisfying requirements of modern higher education based on the use of information and communication technologies. The paper provides arguments in favour of e-learning, considers requirements for an electronic educational resource and describes advantages of electronic educational resources when teaching a foreign language. Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that, taking into account didactic principles, the author proposes a model to develop an electronic educational resource on the professional German language for students-historians. The following conclusions are justified: the proposed electronic educational resource helps to increase efficiency and quality of future specialists’ training in terms of educational content systematization and educational process organization; allows efficient organization of students’ classroom and independent work, knowledge assessment procedure, provides methodological guidelines.
