Abstract
The aim of the paper is to study the English term normcore, which is a neologism in the term system of the fashion industry; to identify the reasons for its appearance and structural composition, as well as to find an adequate translation into Russian. The authors also give examples of other fashion terms with the morpheme -core in the postposition.
