Abstract

As people are interested in the quality of life they tend to pursue a variety of leisure activities which contribute to enhancing their satisfaction and happiness. In this respect, this study explored the impact of adventure tourists’ experience on their flow, satisfaction, psychological happiness, and quality of life. An online survey was conducted for respondents who experienced ground, aerial, and marine adventure tourism and this study collected a total of 393 valid samples for analysis. The results of structural equation model reveal that three experiences of education, entertainment, and escape had positive effects on flow, whereas, aesthetic experience did not affect flow. Flow was also found to positively influence satisfaction and psychological happiness which in turn, positively affected quality of life. The findings of this study will provide academia with theoretical implications and adventure tourism practitioners with practical implications.
