Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify if psychological happiness achieved from physical exercise can improve the overall quality of life. Participants were 311 college students(200 men, 111 women). One-way ANOVA and multiple regression analysis were used by applying SPSS WIN 18.0 to process the data. The study yielded the following results. First, The quality of life and psychological happiness of the individual students were significantly different depends on personal characteristics. Second, There was statistically significant causality between the quality of life and psychological happiness of college students. In other words, psychological happiness was significantly related to the quality of psychological life. The results from this study supported that psychological happiness experienced through the difference between the quality of life and psychological happiness affect the quality of life. In conclusion, we can suggest that colleges can provide a range of programs to increase student participation in physical activity to improve the quality of life through psychological happiness.
