Abstract

The current research aimed to identify: 1. The effectiveness of the animation technique in the emotional intelligence of primary school students. 2.The differences in the effectiveness of the animation technique in the emotional intelligence of primary school students in the experimental and control group. To achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher relied on the following: 1. Using the experimental method to detect the effectiveness of the animation technique in the emotional intelligence of primary school students. 2.The researcher used the emotional intelligence scale prepared by (Prof. Dr. Al-Owais, 2006), which consists of (24) items for three areas of understanding emotions, perceiving emotions and managing emotions, and the psychometric properties were extracted for it from sincerity using virtual honesty and stability using the alpha-Cronbach equation, and a technique was applied Animation on the experimental group and the usual method on the control group over a period of (45) days (two lessons per week for each group). To achieve this, the researcher chose a sample of (40) male and female students who were chosen randomly from the fifth grade students in Al-Diwaniyah Governorate, and they were randomly selected from the mixed primary schools (Habib bin Mazahir Mixed Elementary School), from which the experimental and control groups were selected by (10) of them. Males and (10) females in the experimental group and the same number in the control group, and parity was conducted according to chronological age, intelligence variable, emotional intelligence variable, and previous achievement variable in science, and they were randomly distributed to the two groups. After collecting the data and processing it statistically using the Statistical Portfolio for Social Sciences (SPSS), the following results were reached: There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group and the control group in favor of the experimental group in the results of the post test (for emotional intelligence). To complement the findings of the research, the researcher made several recommendations and suggestions, including: The importance of using animation technology as one of the stimulants of emotional intelligence in the curricula of methods of teaching science and training students of faculties of education and teacher institutes to adopt it in teaching, as well as the inclusion in the curricula of courses for teacher development in educational institutions a number of modern teaching methods and models, including the method of animation, the researcher also suggested conducting similar studies In other study stages such as kindergarten, as well as using other dependent variables such as (visual thinking, scientific thinking, inferential thinking, decision-making), as well as a comparative study of the impact of animation technology with other methods and strategies in developing emotional intelligence. Keywords: Effectiveness of animation technique, emotional intelligence, primary school students.
