Abstract

Cyberspace has often been recognized as a liberal space of mind forgetting about the body. But we are required to reinterpret the meanings of bodies as well as human beings through the advent of cyberbodies. The meanings of bodies are concerned with the definition of human, self and identity. I explored the meanings of bodies and the direction of body education through several problems concerning bodies in cyberspace. Body education related cyberspace means the education for students to understanding meanings of bodies, furthermore, to cultivating capacities to reconstruct their beings through their relationships with technology. We need to understand the views of extended bodies and their meanings from physical bodies to cyberbodies. Narrative identity is useful to the harmony between real self and virtual self, the harmony among virtual selves. It is to construct identity through telling multiple selves. I suggested lived experience, discussion, dialogue and narrative as methods of body education.
