Abstract
The article provides information about the past and present generations of narrators of the Manas epic, their moral properties, as well as their place in folklore as the owners of the artistic heirs of the manaschi. It is of interest to study the life and creative activity of the famous narrator "Manas" Sayakbay Karalayev. The article compares the options of Sagymbay Orozbakov and Sayakbay Karalaev. It is especially important to note prophetic dreams that prompted young storytellers to tell the Manas epic and become famous manaschi. It is also noted that the study of the style of storytellers, the features of the art of storytellers, the contribution of researchers, workers of culture, and art is important.
