Abstract

This article is carried out in line with research on the problems of genre studies. The author tries to solve the problem of developing a method for describing the speech genre as a communicative unit of the ethical level. The relevance of the study is due to the unsatisfactory result of many years of attempts to develop a methodology for describing the genre that can identify the meaningful factors of a typical utterance as an object. As one of the solutions to the problem, it is proposed to put forward the theory of genre source studies with the development of a technology for modeling a genre source by introducing a formula of a communicative situation into the model of a typical utterance as a factor determining the reference of the genre. The novelty and significance of this work is due to the description of an original and potentially productive approach to determining the genre structures of an utterance through the construction of a genre source model through the prism of communicative components.
