Abstract
The article discusses current issues related to the improvement of settlements at the present stage. Special attention is paid to the features of urban improvement in Russia, in particular, the experience of Krasnodar is considered. In the process of the study, the works and their contents that are implemented as part of the municipal program “Formation of a modern urban environment” for 2018-2022 are highlighted. Also identified are the actual problems of improvement in the city of Krasnodar and promising ways to solve them.
