Abstract

Goal: analysis of various aspects and approaches to the definition of the concept of trust and its impact on the country’s economy. Tasks: to summarize the works of Russian and foreign scientists on various aspects of trust; to systematize the contradictory views of economists on the price of trust and its impact on the country’s economy, to develop recommendations for increasing the level of trust, as well as social and economic stability in society. The research uses general scientific methods of analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, comparison and description. Conclusions: economic and social sustainability will not be possible without significant efforts to build reliable institutions or restore trust in existing institutions, which is likely to include, among other things, genuine transparency and experiments with digital participation.
