Abstract

The article considers various approaches to the classification of rural settlements. This problem is important for planning the placement of social infrastructure facilities. Adhering to the typification of rural settlements of Rosstat by the number of living population, it is shown that small settlements with a population of 500-999 people are the most widespread. and 1000-1999 people. (21,8%). It is necessary to increase the provision of these settlements with social infrastructure facilities in order to reduce the compression of small settlements of this type.
