Abstract

The article is devoted to studying the German “poetry slam”- a poetical contest, during which authors recite their own poems. Special attention is paid to such basic features of this phenomenon as accessibility, democratic approach to choosing a theme, tendency for politicization, interdiscursivity, influence of migration processes. The study focuses on identifying the peculiarities typical of the poetical texts created in the “poetry slam” format, in particular, the usage of Anglicisms and Americanisms, ambivalent nature of some marginal concepts, application of “ready-made” technique.
