Abstract

In the conditions of general macroeconomic instability, the threat of famine in a number of countries of the world, as well as in the context of global climate change, which causes various kinds of cataclysms, leading to crop losses in many countries, the food security of the state is considered as the most important part of its national security. This article explores trends and methods for assessing the level of food security in the Russian Federation as a whole, and one of the regions of the Russian Federation (Omsk region), in particular. The purpose of the work is to analyze the level of food security of the Russian Federation and the Omsk region, their relationship and interdependence. Approaches were also applied to the analysis of statistical and predictive models in the field of strategic planning and management of the national security of the state. A model for assessing the level of food security was developed, an analysis of the level of food security in Russia and the Omsk region was carried out within the framework of the developed model, and conclusions were drawn about their relationship.
