Abstract

The prevailing opinion is that the law (the external sphere of human liberty and morality) is internal. This can be explained by the fact that morals can not simply be obey, they must become an internal conviction. It is impossible to make a person be guided by the motive of duty in subjection to the law or to perform it in good
conscience. Therefore, for the law, it is only important (even formal) performance of duties. The article explains the fallacy of view to the law only as the sphere of external liberty.
