Abstract
The publication reflects the results of reviewing the monograph by A.M. Antonyan, O.R. Afanasyeva, M.V. Goncharova “Crime in Russia” (Moscow, Yurlitinform Publ., 2023. 272 p.). Results. The work raises a number of critical comments, which are particularly addressed to its methodology. The incompleteness of the statistical analysis of the state of crime in Russia is also noteworthy. In general, the content of the monograph does not sufficiently take into account modern trends in the development of Russia, expressed in the preservation and strengthening of traditional spiritual and moral values, patriotism, and countering legal nihilism and extremism.
