Abstract
In recent years, computer-graphics produced slides have become popular, since personal computers and/or associated systems and software have been become quite sophisticated. Jikei's Medical Information Center Division of Photographic Services has introduced a slide making system by computer graphics. We have constructed a small LAN connected with Macintosh and NEC personal computers and have used MO disks in order to maintain efficient handling of inputted data and images, because input machines are separate from the film output machine. We have established a multi-media computer-graphics system for color-slide production. In 1993, the number of users of this system increased dramatically. Introduced herein are our hardware arrangements, software, and the recent trends in the use of our service.
