Abstract

The article analyzes scientific works of socio-humanitarian direction, which investigate the problems of school shooting, principles and forms of dissemination of columbine ideology in the modern virtual and real media space, published not earlier than 2020. The titles and content of scientific articles use the term “school shoot-ing” or “columbine”, which is interpreted quite broadly, the scientific discourse on the understanding and defini-tion of the concept is interdisciplinary in nature, which determines the subject field of research. Through tradi-tional analysis of narratives, relevant material is obtained, which allows to identify risk and protection factors against school shooting, to determine the mechanisms of shock content impact on the youth and adolescent audience. The socio-psychological consequences of prolonged persecution (bullying, mobbing) and unjustified aggression in childhood and adolescence – theomania (megalomania, I am God), social exclusion, depriva-tion, suicidal manifestations – are considered.
