Abstract

The Georgian apartment building of the middle of the 20th century is characterized by stylistic and artistic features typical for that era. Architectural trends are associated with the main signs of socialist realism and late modernist movements. In the projects of Lado Alexi-Meskhishvili's residential houses reveal both the architectural characteristic of the Stalinist empire style and the contemporary principles of modernism. The research of the architect's projects and their analysis showed how the change of eras is represented in the architecture of residential houses
