Abstract

Equilibria in ternary systems containing cobalt (II) salt, dicarboxypropaneiminodiethanoic acid and dicarboxylic acids: oxalic, malonic and succinic were studied by spectrophotometry with Na2SO4 as a supporting electrolyte (I = 0.1) at Т = 20 ± 2 oС. The molar and proton compositions of the heteroleptic complexes and the pH ranges of their existence were determined. The stability constants of these complexes were calculated. The shares of accumulation of the complexes, which are subject to the acidity of a medium, were found. The experimental data were processed in terms of mathematical models allowing to predict the existence of a wide spectrum of complex species in solution and to ignore the species that are negligible for accurate reproduction of the observed pattern.
