Abstract

The purpose of this study was to understand the current status of Korean consumers' perception of clean labels, which have recently been receiving increasing interest in various countries, to suggest new research topics from an academic perspective, and to provide basic data to promote the spread of clean labels in Korea. To understand consumer perception of clean labels, data on clean labels written by consumers were collected from various websites. Key words were derived from data collected from websites, and consumer perceptions were finally confirmed. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that Korean consumers perceive clean label as ethical consumption, eco-friendly consumption, and a method of using natural raw materials. Based on the results of the study, this study finally presented academic and practical implications for the spread of clean labels in Korea.
